We complete the circuit of our ground floor by returning to the living room for a moment. The front door is so close to the right of this shot you can just make out part of the wood frame. The sampler was stitched by Mary's mother as a wedding present in 1989. In the corner, you can see where the watermelon pink of the living room meets the peach of the staircase to the second floor.
