The room we use as a library is directly over the living room. The ceiling at its highest point is approximately 14 feet from the floor. The space over the bookcases seemed to us ideal for all the prints, paintings, and photos we couldn't find other places for. The yellow of the walls (Mary's favorite color) is actually much sunnier and more cheerful than it appears here.
