Learned Papers

In the fullness of time, I plan to put a lot of my more scholarly work in this subdirectory, just so you'll see that I 'm not making anything up as I go along. Right now, however, I want to get the "bones" of Rheophilia up and running as fast as I can. So right now, this is all you get. There will be more.

This is an exegesis of Psalm 34, complete with my own translation from the Greek of the Septuagint. ("Exegesis" is a technical word popular among Bible scholars. It means, simply, an explanation of an ancient text and the scholar's best guess as to what the ancient text's original author actually meant hearers/readers to understand.)

The Prophet Miriam is a detailed look at the (Septuagint) references to Miriam in Exodus and Numbers.

I'm a big fan of The Center for Progressive Christianity. Here's a page containing more information about it.
